The mean streets of Brussels five-oh

Brussels is a lot more than
the headquarters of
European governance.

Despite being the place
responsible for
Jean-Claude Van Damme,
it's a vibrant city with a lot
going on. Sharon, Kieran
(Bateman, also of Sony)
and I went out on Thursday
night to a club called
Havana. Despite being a
little wrecked, we couldn't
be but impressed by the
kicking nature of the whole
thing.

Belgians are nothing if not creative. Someone
obviously decided that the famous
peeing
statue
-- usually naked -- would look smart
with an orange mac on...

Word on the street is...

As with most
European
cities, anti-war
graffiti adorns
streets, this one

at recently
ousted Spanish
prime minister

Get tattooed!

A melange of
posters, flyers
and notices on
a Brussels street

I happened across a Jacques Brel cultural museum. (I'm a fan.)

I didn't have
time to watch
the
concert-movie,
so just browsed
the pictures
instead

He was one of
Bowie's heroes

La Fondation

Brussels' dark side:  A poster prominently adorning many street corners...

Corrs in one night:
Level 4 in Dante's
Inferno, surely

about to go into the
clouds

Ronan, on
remembering that
the tabloid version
of the Indo doesn't
include the property
section

Descending
