Maine  four mushrooms and a wedding   September 4th - 13th, 2004

In early September I went to
Maine, a forested US territory
with miles of Canadian
border, for a wedding.

Despite some tricky
moments, I managed to avoid
an ambulance ride to hospital
with my head up a moose's
arse.

But it was close. I narrowly
avoided killing an eagle. And I
did kill a partridge while
driving to Augusta one night.

I also had some new
experiences. One in particular
brought back vivid memories
of playing computer games in
my youth.

Maine is just beautiful.

But don't do mushrooms there.

Thanks for taking this picture, Steve
and Max. You're true mates.

I prepare for some more spider-clearing and
window cleaning. Karen stays abreast of
inventory control and the wedding's supply
chain management issues by phone
